Buồng mẫu dung tích 15 ml được duy trì ở áp suất   0.1 kPa và nhiệt độ 37.8°C. Lượng mẫu thể tích 3ml, nhiệt độ 0 °C, sau khi được làm bão hòa không khí, được bơm tự động bằng bơm khí nén vào buồng mẫu  15 ml. When the stabilisation of the pressure is reached, the volume of the absolute pressure obtained will be considered as the total vapour pressure.
